If there's pain, it usually occurs when there's skin infection caused by the bacterium, Staphylococcus aureus. This is an infection of the hair follicles or oil glands and can lead to boils on your face, shoulders, neck, armpits and even buttocks. Boils often go away after a few weeks, and certain home remedies can help speed up the recovery process.
Warm Compress
Warm compresses soften the skin and cause the boil to burst, which can help reduce pain and let out any pus that formed inside. Adding salt to the warm water can help heal the boil even faster. Repeat this process two to three times each day for best results.

Next, place a few drops of tea tree oil on the boil and gently massage the area. If the boil begins to itch, mix the tea tree oil with a few drops of water to dilute it.
